Maternity Photo Session In Scottsdale, Arizona at Scottsdale Ranch Park

If your vibe is green: this is your spot! Scottsdale Ranch Park, nestled right in the middle of Central Scottsdale, is a gem of greenery. This particular session was a morning session (6am - nearish to sunrise depending on the time of year). I love shooting here in the mornings because it is typically quieter... though we were still surrounded by early morning walkers, joggers, dogs, a volleyball tournament, and even kids on the playground! Which is to be expected, it is a public park after all. With this in mind, I would typically recommend a morning session to avoid as much crowd as possible. This location can be quite busy on the weekends and week nights with baseball games and other activities!

I had so much fun photographing Dylan - she's so photogenic, you simply cannot take a bad picture of this gal! I also had a close friend of mine join us for some BTS action, so it was a treat to get the girlies together and create some content to start the day! I enjoyed getting to work with some greenery and diffused lighting... as that is not always something we see here in the desert! Shooting and editing greens is something I love to do where sometimes the neutral-toned desert can be more challenging to edit and work with... especially in the fall after a long and hot summer. However, I will always love the desert, greenery is just a fun change! The trees gave us a beautiful opportunity to diffuse the backlighting: creating stunning light, skin tones, and radial lighting as well.
