Family Newborn Photos at Home in Scottsdale, AZ

What an honor it is to be asked into someone's home to capture new, sweet moments as a growing family. I am truly moved by the opportunity to be that person, who gets to join y'all, in your home to capture forever memories of your newest little babe. This beautiful family makes every photo look SO GOOD. Mr. Rhett was a perfect gentleman, who has shown us that he's easy on the eyes and the camera loves him. Not to mention, he even gave us a few smiles (even if they're gas smiles- we'll take 'em! haha!) like a total ham, which made for some of the cutest newborn photos ever!

The newborn season is a rollercoaster of emotions, visitors, firsts, highs and lows.. I feel you mom and dad, I have been there too. I typically recommend my newborn families to plan their session about 1-2 weeks after baby is born. In this timeframe, your new babe is usually the sleepiest and baby's skin is fresh before the possible peeling and baby acne. However, some parents would rather do a newborn session about 4-8 weeks after birth so their babe is a little more alert and aware which can be so much fun, like Baby Rhett shows us here with the smiles and some shots of him admiring mom & dad. And don't worry, if your babe has some blemishes I can take care of that in post processing.. that is something we can work around.

Now I realize the last thing you probably want to think about after birth in those first few weeks is planning outfits, hair, and prepping for a photoshoot. To help alleviate this, I often recommend clients to begin looking for a photographer in the mid stages of their pregnancy so that you have booked, planned, and prepped outfits before baby even comes. That way, when our session day arrives, your only job is to get yourself and your baby ready and I will take care of the rest. I offer a collection of props and swaddles to offer you during our session. If you have baby items, swaddles, etc that you would prefer to use - we can certainly do so!

Whether you shoot at home or in a studio is up to you! Some clients prefer the ease of being home and some prefer a studio. There are benefits to both. Home is convenient because I come to you and it's comforting to be in your own space. A studio can be helpful because it's a way to get out of the house and there is no tidying or cleaning necessary to prep the space. There are two studios I shoot newborn sessions at: The Light Loft in Scottsdale and Simply Studio in Mesa.

Newborn photos are some that you can cherish for generations!
